Maxwell the Spider

Jeremy C. Gredone is in love with telling stories, and, he would prefer to tell you one in person. While he fully admits that telling stories often includes the art of tasteful exaggeration, one of his favorite personal anecdotes (about a spider) seemed so fantastical to him that he had to do something he never planned on in his wildest dreams – write a children’s book. Since leaving the big city for the proverbial cabin-on-a-mountain some years ago, Jeremy has written five screenplays, over thirty short stories, hundreds of poems, and, the one children’s book he never planned on. Another adventure he never planned on until it fell in his lap, was joining the Peace Corps right out of college, and spending three years in the West African, island nation of Cabo Verde, teaching English. He readily attributes this with being one of the best decisions he ever made and remains eternally grateful for the incalculably rich and wonderful life lessons he was lucky enough to receive there.

Sherene Offutt has always loved to make stuff! Thanks to her especially talented parents, she can’t even remember not knowing how to sew or swing a hammer. She grew up watching Looney Tunes on Saturday mornings…mesmerized by the color, characters, and action. Sherene studied fine art at the Corcoran School of Art, where she later served as an adjunct professor teaching digital illustration. She’s also taught classes at St. Mary’s College of Maryland and the Skopelos Foundation for the Arts. While Sherene still spends most of her time running operations for federal healthcare contracts, she endeavors to find creativity in everything that she does.
